Applies to: All Printers, Machines & Custom-Built Items
At ProlificGeeks, we are committed to delivering high-quality printing solutions and reliable after-sales service. Our warranty policy is designed to give you peace of mind while clearly outlining what is and isn’t covered. Please read the following terms carefully before making a purchase.
1. General Warranty Terms
Warranty Duration: Most machines come with a 1-year warranty from the date of purchase or installation. Some converted or custom-built machines have different terms (see specific sections below).
Coverage Includes:
- Mechanical and electrical components (motors, wiring, power boards, etc.)
- Manufacturing defects in core systems
- Labor and technician support for issues covered under warranty
Exclusions (apply to all machines):
- Ink system issues: Print heads, capping stations, dampers, ink pumps, ink tubes, and ink clogs
- Consumables: Ink, film, powder, cleaning solutions, etc.
- Software and firmware issues (considered part of technical support, not warranty)
- Physical damage: Caused by rats, mishandling, moisture, power surges, or improper environment
- Improper use or modification
- Machines used beyond their recommended usage or operating limits
Environment Responsibility: Customers must maintain the advised setup conditions (clean, dry, temperature-controlled environment). Environmental negligence can void the warranty.
Engineer Visits: Hospitality (lodging/meals) and transportation for on-site engineers must be covered by the customer. This is communicated prior to machine dispatch.
No Refund/Exchange: Once a purchase is made, no refunds or exchanges will be entertained. Customers are expected to make an informed decision.
2. DTG (Direct-to-Garment) Printers
Coverage (1-Year): Mechanical and electrical components
Not Covered: Ink-related components, print heads, software issues, physical/environmental damage
3. DTF (Direct-to-Film) Printers
Coverage (1-Year): Motors, wiring, and electronic systems
Not Covered: Ink/powder system issues, print heads, external damage, software problems
4. UV Flatbed Printers
Coverage (1-Year): Print head (manufacturer defect only), electronics, mechanical components
Not Covered: Ink clogging, misuse, software/firmware errors, environmental damage
5. Sublimation Printers
Coverage (1-Year): Internal parts such as motors, electronics
Not Covered: Ink clogging, physical damage, software-related issues
6. Eco-Solvent Printers
Coverage (1-Year): Print heads (defective only), ink delivery system, internal hardware
Not Covered: Ink blockages, misuse, power surges, non-approved ink usage
7. Flatbed Printers
Coverage (1-Year): Internal electronics, mechanical movement parts
Not Covered: Ink-related failures, improper maintenance, mishandling
8. Custom DIY Items
Coverage (6 Months): Manufacturing defects in added components
Not Covered: Incorrect assembly, third-party modifications, misuse
9. Custom Order-Based Machines
Coverage (1 Year): Mechanical, electrical, and head system faults
Includes: Labor and part replacements for manufacturing issues
Not Covered: Misuse, unapproved modifications, or using parts not supplied by us
10. Converted DTF Printers (Below ₹1,00,000)
Coverage (6 Months Limited): Warranty only on converted parts (e.g., ink tanks, heaters, stirrers, wiring)
Important Notes:
- These are not factory-manufactured; they are budget-modified machines
- No warranty on the base printer or unmodified parts
- Customers purchasing these understand they are choosing affordability over full warranty
Technical Support vs. Warranty
- Firmware, software, and driver installation support are available but not covered under warranty
- We offer assistance to resolve these issues remotely or guide replacements where necessary
- Ongoing technical issues must be reported promptly. Technicians will attempt quick resolution and escalate responsibly
Customer Responsibilities
- Follow all pre-delivery setup, usage, and maintenance guidelines
- Ensure machine placement in a dust-free, temperature-stable environment
- Do not pressure technicians; allow time for diagnosis and resolution
- Cooperate fully during after-sales and service visits
